Athyrium niponicum 'Metallicum'
Striking silver, burgundy and slate-purple painted fronds — known as the Japanese painted fern. Reaches around 40-60cm and happy in woodland gardens. Cut back faded fronds in autumn or early spring. Mulch annually with leaf mould.
